What's    goin'on    wit'    KoRn?

Freaks on Video [27-Jan-99] Korn spent a December afternoon in a Los Angeles soundstage shooting the video for "Freak On A Leash" the second radio track from their double platinum Follow The Leader album (Immortal/Epic). In an interesting note, three directors have been brought on board this time to lense the clip; "Spawn" creator Todd McFarlane (who also designed Follow The Leader's cover artwork) and the team of Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris (known for their award-winning work with the Smashing Pumpkins). The "mini-movie" style video will be a combination of performance footage mixed with Todd McFarlane's animation and conceptual footage shot by Dayton & Faris of the band to create a seamless transition between the real world and the surreal one. The story begins and ends as a living, breathing extension of the Follow The Leader album cover, taking the viewer on a journey from a KORN/McFarlane conceived anti-establishment dreamland to a hard rock reality and back again. Look for the clip to hit the airwaves early February. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Korn/Zombie Tour update [18-Jan-99] Check out the tours section for the latest additions to the Rob Zombie headline tour. It's clear that Korn--who master-minded the tour with their management company The Firm and Metropolitan Entertainment--made good on their promise to bring arena rock 'n' roll sound-and-sight extravaganzas back to the fans. Featuring one of the heaviest cutting-edge concert line-ups in rock history--Korn, Rammstein, Ice Cube, Limp Bizkit and Orgy --the 27 dates which ran from September 22-October 31 grossed more than $6.4 million, with fan-friendly ticket prices ranging from $26.00 to $29.50. Over 243,000 attendees came out to see this tour, which "created a bold new profile for hard guitar bands," according to Jim Farber of the New York Daily News.

Fieldy Working w/ Cradle of Thorns As busy as he is with Korn, Fieldy is also working with Cradle of Thorns. Fieldy says "I'm producing it so I'm rehearsing them at the same time, I don't dig that and I didn't bring it on but it just kinda happened and I committed to it so I'm not gonna leave 'em. It's something that I started and gotta finish."

Jonathan & DJ Lethal DJ Lethal (Limp Bizkit) is planning to release his first solo album later this year. It's gonna feature all types of metal stars and rappers. Jonathan Davis will be featured on vocals in some of the songs as well as Chino Moreno (Deftones), Mark McGarth (Sugar Ray), Tom Morello (R.A.T.M.) and some vocals from Fred Durst. Freak on a Leash Video KoRn is working on a new video for Freak on a Leash which is set to be on MTV by late January. "We got Todd McFarlane animating some of it. And Dayton and Ferris, the two who did the Pumpkins videos and a whole bunch of other videos - they're doing it. It's going to be bad-ass, it's going to trip some people out" - Jonathan says. KoRn/Rob Zombie Despite the rumors on why Zombie was not on the Family Values Tour, KoRn and Rob Zombie will be touring together from February 25, 1999 - April 11, 1999. "The wait is over, Zombie says. Zombie and KoRn will definitely be the most hard-core explosive tour of the year." Some tour dates up in the tour section. New Releases Korn is working on a Family Values live CD which will be released sometime in 1999. There is also going to be a new home video which will follow along the lines of "Who then Now?" footage. When asked about it Jonathan said "Yeah, it's gonna be kinda like that. But it's a whole tour. We're using the MTV special footage of the band but all the shit in-between of the band, that's all gonna be like "Who Then Now?" The video is also set to be released sometime in 1999.
